Consultancy

Our consultancy service is designed to help and guide organisations wishing to develop an information service for young people. Canllaw Online offers support and guidance through the initial service set-up and advice on business planning, development planning, policies, budget, legislation and operational guidelines.

The aim of the Canllaw Online “Entitlement” Project Consultancy Service is to lead people through an experience – to take people with little or no knowledge of information services for young people to a level of expertise, by establishing how best they can achieve what they need to within local cultures and geographies and using local resources.

Canllaw Online has delivered its consultancy service to the 22 Local Authorities in Wales, national voluntary organisations such as Youth Cymru, Boys & Girls Clubs of Wales, YMCAs, YWCAs, Guides Cymru, Young Farmers Clubs, SNAP Cymru, Rathborne Training and independent providers such as the Penarth Youth Project, Springboard, West Rhyl Young People’s Project, Grassroots, Dr Mz, Streets, Catapult, Area 41 and Area 43.

Canllaw Online is committed to providing workers in information services for young people across Wales with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the Information Outlet scheme.

Service providers have the opportunity of registering for the Canllaw Online Quality Mark. This scheme was introduced to Info Outlets in order to establish a common methodology to the core of information services for young people delivery across Wales, ensuring that the info signage, logos and headings are displayed at all registered outlets working towards a quality mark. This nationwide uniformity provides young people with a network of easily recognisable sources of information.
