Clued Up – Be’ ‘di Be’
What is Clued Up – Be’ ‘di Be’?
Canllaw Online was commissioned by TEC South East Wales to
deliver the “Clued Up” project, which was then
broadened as an all-Wales initiative by ELWa, the aim being
to create a young people’s directory to services in their
area. In 2002, seven regionalised versions of the credit-card
sized booklet were produced, listing contact numbers, e-mails
and web addresses, tailored to each region. The booklet also
uses the Canllaw Online Info Index headings as a guide, and
included in the leaflet are contact details for schools, training
providers, local environmental projects, Assembly Members and
Members of Parliament, family planning clinics, Health Services,
Housing Associations, Victim Support organisations, Citizens
Advice Bureau and Libraries.
Benefit:
“Clued Up” is leaflet that young people can carry
around and access whenever they need a phone number. The 7
regional versions mean that they can get information tailored
to where they live without restricting access to services that
may be in another local authority for example.
