MBTC

What is MBTC?

MBTC stands for “The Minimum Basic Training Course for Youth Information Workers”. MBTC has been developed by ERYICA and the Council of Europe. The aim is to co-ordinate a common minimum standard of training, which can be delivered to workers in ERYICA partner countries.

Benefits to Wales:

Canllaw Online is the MBTC representative and ERYICA member for Wales, and has contributed to the course content.

The OCN accreditation system operated by Canllaw Online was far in advance of similar systems operated in other countries. No other country taking part in the initiative has a recognised national qualification for Youth Information work.
